Mr. DeLalla founded DeLalla & Associates, LLC. in August 2005, following more than 25 years of practice in the western Connecticut and southeastern New York area. Mr. DeLalla provides comprehensive design and site planning services for a wide variety of commercial, institutional and residential projects. His extensive experience also includes the coordination of the regulatory review process and involves the assembly of multi-disciplinary teams for land planning studies including the preparation of environmental impact analyses.
Mr. DeLalla received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree in 1978 from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York. Previously, he received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies also from SUNY ESF, as well as a Pre-professional Forestry degree from Paul Smith’s College in Paul Smith’s, New York. Mr. DeLalla is licensed to practice in both New York and Connecticut. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, serves on the Advisory Board of the Westchester Land Trust and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the CT Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Currently, Mr. DeLalla is coordinating the site design, planning and environmental review process for various residential, institutional, subdivision and commercial properties in southeastern New York as well as in Fairfield County, in Connecticut. These include the Ridgefield 9/11 Memorial, Ridgefield, CT, the Town of Pound Ridge Town Park & Community Center in Pound Ridge, NY, the Venus Municipal Building/Town Hall Annex Complex, Ridgefield, CT, the Keeler Tavern, Ridgefield, CT, the Oakridge Gardens Condominiums in Vista, NY, the Ridgefield Affordable Housing-Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT, Sach’s Park, Pound Ridge, NY, Sand Hill Plaza South, Newtown, CT, the ROAR Animal Shelter, Ridgefield, CT, Thomas Place Estates, Valhalla, NY, Popoli Subdivision, South Salem, NY, Bacio Trattoria, Cross River, NY, and various large scale residential properties in New Canaan, Ridgefield, Weston, Redding, Rowayton, Greenwich, Stamford and Darien, CT, and Pound Ridge, North Salem, Armonk, Chappaqua and South Salem, NY.
Prior to forming DeLalla & Associates, LLC, Mr. DeLalla was the founding partner in charge of project development, landscape and environmental design, site planning and municipal approval services at DeLalla & Von Ohlsen, LLC in Ridgefield, CT. Also previously, Mr. DeLalla worked with various offices in New Canaan, CT where he provided design, site planning and environmental planning services for a variety of residential, commercial, institutional and subdivision projects, including the Westchester Wilderness Walk, Pound Ridge, NY, St Luke’s School, New Canaan, CT, Chapel Hill Estates Condominiums, Peekskill, NY, the Old Navy & GAP Northeast Distribution Centers, Fishkill, NY, CT, Stone Ridge Estates in Pound Ridge, NY, Chelsea at Yorktown in Yorktown Heights, NY, Ponderosa Estates in Yorktown Heights, NY, The Charles Ives Center in Danbury, CT, Pound Ridge, NY, Shoreview Estates in Danbury, CT, Saddle Ridge in Kent, CT and the Waccabuc Parcel in Lewisboro, NY, as well as several large scale residential properties throughout the region. All of these projects involved detailed site design, planning and required approvals from a variety of regulatory agencies.

Mr. Kallstrom joined DeLalla & Associates, LLC in November 2008 bringing to the firm 7 years of experience in the field of landscape architecture and planning. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate with Hitchcock Design Group, LLC, a planning-landscape architecture firm in Chicago, Illinois and Mark P. Finlay Architects, AIA an architecture firm located in Southport, Connecticut.
When in the Chicago area Mr. Kallstrom was the project manager for a number of commercial and residential master planning, zoning and entitlement projects, and was also involved in various aspects of park and recreation projects. Mr. Kallstrom, while in Connecticut, has been involved in various aspects of residential design and private development projects.
A 2003 graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, School of Fine and Applied Arts, Mr. Kallstrom received a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture. While at the University of Illinois, Mr. Kallstrom was the recipient of the Sasaki Day Award for excellence in design in 2002.
Mr. Kallstrom, a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, is presently seeking initial licensure in the state of Connecticut and is working as a Project Manager/Designer.
